Men's Soccer Falls at La Salle, 3-1

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's soccer team (2-2) was defeated by the La Salle Explorers (3-1) by a score of 3-1 on Saturday night. Elliott Swigert scored his first collegiate goal for the Dragons in the second half.
The Explorers got on the board early with a goal in the fourth minute by Junior Nare. Nare fielded a pass from Ike Hollinger and finished the play to give La Salle the lead.
La Salle pushed the lead to two in the 60th minute. Hollinger played a through ball to Nigel Buckley, who scored for the Explorers.
With 10 minutes remaining in the second half, Swigert took a free-kick from 25-yards away from the goal and beat the La Salle keeper to score for the Dragons. Swigert now has a goal and two assists on the season.
Nare and the Explorers struck for the final time in the 83rd minute. Nare found enough room between him and the Drexel defense to take a shot and score his second goal of the night.
Stephen Kopsachilis earned his 22nd start as a goalkeeper and corralled three saves for the Dragons.
Drexel is scheduled to travel to Hempstead, N.Y. to face the Hofstra Pride on Saturday, March 13, at 2 p.m. The match will be the Dragons' first CAA game of the spring season.
