Men's Tennis Defeats Hofstra, 6-1

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's tennis team defeated the Hofstra Pride in a match on Saturday afternoon at the Vidas Courts. The Dragons defeated the Pride, 6-1.
In the doubles portion, Djordje Janackovic and Sanil Jagtiani beat their opponents in the first-seeded match. Gustav Wogen and Youssef Lahlou won the second-seeded match to secure the point for the Dragons.
Alvaro Cruz Chamorro won his match in the singles portion after his opponent defaulted in the second set. In the third-seeded singles match, Lahlou defeated his opponent in three sets; after dropping the second set, Lahlou battled back and took the third set, 7-5. The Dragons also took the fourth match. Wogen defeated his opponent, 6-2, 7-6.
In the No. 5 spot, Janackovic dropped the first set but won the second and third sets to win the match. In the No. 6 contest, Matvey Radionov defeated his opponent in two sets, 6-0, 6-1, to clinch the match for the Dragons.
The Dragons are scheduled to face Villanova in a match on Tuesday, April 20 at 1 p.m.
