Dragons Finish Fourth at Connecticut Cup

ELLINGTON, Conn. - Drexel finished its New England trip with a fourth-place finish at the Connecticut Cup. Liam Hart was the top finisher for Drexel as he tied for seventh overall. Boston College won the tournament which took place at Ellington Country Club in Connecticut on Friday.
Drexel finished at 903, which missed out on a top three finish by one stroke. Temple placed third, six shots behind UConn. The Huskes were 21 strokes behind B.C.
Hart had Drexel's best round of the day with a 75 on Saturday and finished at 222. Connor Schmidt, Jeffrey Cunningham and Angelo Giantsopoulos each had a 76 as the teams finished the 54-hole event that wasn't played in ideal conditions. Temperatures were low and winds were a factor throughout the tournament.
Schmidt tied for 13th overall at 224. Cunningham tied for 20th at 227, three shots better than Giantsopoulos.
Brandon Kewalramani of Boston College was the medalist with a two-over-par 218. He was one stroke ahead of Iona's Justin Burkhamer. BC had four of the top six finishers.
