PHILADELPHIA - Hannah Nihill provided the lone goal for Drexel in Friday's 2-1 loss to Saint Francis University. The Dragons fall to 1-6 on the season while the Red Flash improve to 2-4.

Drexel got off to a hot start with an early goal by Nihill only two minutes into the game. The Dragons offense capitalized on a breakaway opportunity with a one-two punch from Isabel Jacobs to Nihill for her third goal of the season.

The Red Flash tied the game shortly before the half on a reverse shot by Eva Valentini that soared to the top right corner of the cage. SFU came close to taking the lead in the opening minutes of the third quarter on a stroke opportunity, but an outstanding effort by Megan Hadfield in net kept the game even.

Despite outshooting SFU 18-12, the Dragons struggled to find the offensive momentum they needed to score. The Red Flash sealed the deal in the 48^th minute on a two vs one opportunity.

Drexel is back on home turf Sunday as they welcome Rider University to Buckley Field for a 12 p.m. contest.
