PHILADELPHIA – Despite an advantage in shots for the match and even possession, the Drexel women's soccer team fell in its final non-conference contest of the season, 3-0 at Temple on Sunday afternoon.

After withstanding an early push from the Owls, DU created some chances of its own, with a trio of shots in a two minute span. Temple rebounded with a pair of goals midway through the frame to go up 2-0. The score remained that way into the second half before one more tally cemented the final score. The Dragons continued to battle, playing forward in the second stanza with several attempts in the waning minutes.

Overall, Drexel had an 18-10 edge in shots and had six corners to four for Temple.

The Dragons return to action and open Colonial Athletic Association play on Sunday, September 26 when they host James Madison. Opening tap from Vidas Field is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
