HOW IT HAPPENED
QUOTABLE
"Just really excited about tonight's win. You witness the game, see the fight this team has, you saw it with Mariah Leonard doing whatever it took for us to win the game. To hold a team that scores as many points as Towson does to 54, that was one of our goals. Just so proud of this group and to play three games in five days and come out with three wins is so impressive." –Head Coach Amy Mallon on the win against Towson.
"I think our team is a very experienced team. We've really learned how to maintain composure under tight situations like this one. We really just wanted to keep this streak that we have going and we came together and put it all out on the floor." –Mariah Leonard on the poise of the team.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Dragons held a 54-47 lead with just less than four minutes left following Brugler completing an old-fashioned, three-point play. The Tigers responded, tying the game with 1:10 left on a three by Allie Kubek.
- Undaunted, DU went back to work. Feeding the ball inside to Brugler, she worked on her pivot foot until she was able to clear just enough space to connect on a hook shot while falling down. Following a defensive stop, Washington hit a pair of free throws to seal the win.
- Drexel jumped out to a quick 10-3 lead on the strength of a trio of baskets from Washington. Towson battled back and took a 14-12 edge with four minutes left in the opening frame before DU scored the next five points of the period and held a 17-16 lead after 10 minutes.
- The Dragons came out hot in the second, scoring the first three buckets to go up 23-17, leading to a Towson timeout. Nihill netted a pair of layups sandwiched around a jumper from Leonard in the span.
- Out of the TO, Drexel turned up its defense and didn't allow the Tigers a field goal in the final six minutes of the frame, as DU took a 31-22 lead into the break.
- After the Dragons took an 11-point advantage after Brugler connected on a jumper for the first hoop of the second half, Towson went on a 10-2 run, clawing to 35-32 midway through the third.
- Leading 39-36 with just more than two minutes left in the frame, Drexel scored the final five points of the period as Hendrixson connected on a big three and Leonard sank a pair of free throws.
