Women's Soccer Clinches CAA Tournament Berth

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Playing its penultimate regular season match, the Drexel women's soccer team was upended for just the second time this year, falling 2-0 at the Monmouth Hawks on Sunday afternoon.
Despite the setback, the Dragons clinched their first postseason berth since 2018 thanks to Elon's 1-0 win against William & Mary, meaning DU cannot be eclipsed in the standings by any of the bottom four teams in the conference.
The Hawks scored once in each half, creating the scoreline. Molly Piso kept the contest close in net, making four saves. Drexel had a pair of chances late, both off free kicks in the final three minutes, but the Monmouth keeper was able to steer both aside to help finish the contest.
Drexel closes the regular season on Sunday, October 23 when it travels to archrival Delaware.
