PHILADELPHIA - Emily Owens and Eline Di Leva scored in the second half, but the Dragons were upended 4-2 against Monmouth on Friday evening at Buckley Field. Following today's contest, DU finishes 3-3 against the CAA and secures the No. 4 seed in the CAA Playoffs.

Megan Hadfield led the Dragons defensive effort with nine saves.
Owens scored her first goal of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Drexel's defense started strong as they held the Hawks to five shots in the first half, but went into halftime down 2-0.
In the 37th minute, Tina Rawa sent a pass to Di Leva as she sprinted down the right side from the top of the circle, finding the back of the cage to cut Monmouth's lead in half, making it 2-1.
Just six minutes later, Owens scored her first goal of the year as she fired a shot that snuck past the Hawks goalkeeper, which closed the gap to one.
Monmouth's defense kept DU scoreless the rest of the contest.
