Men's and Women's Rowing Each Turn In Top-10 Finish at Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Drexel men's and women's rowing teams each wrapped up successful fall seasons with a top-10 finish against some of the best competition in the nation at the Princeton Chase on Sunday morning.
For the men, the "A" boat in the Heavyweight 8+ of Sam DeSilva (coxswain), Josh Diggons (stroke), Nikola Loncar, Jack Anderson, Damian Lis, Jake Miller, James Schmidt, John Karen and Andrew Manns (bow) rowed Lois Krall III to a ninth place finish out of 41 boats with a time of 13:50.701.
On the women's side, competing in Alleva XVII, Natalie Cleri (coxswain), Julianna Rogers (stroke), Hayley McKeever, Giavanna Hunt, Mollie Knoff, Kirby Droogan, Rita Keefer, Taylor Powell and Kayla Driscoll (row) turned in a 10th place finish in the Open 8+ with a time of 16:02.554.
During the race, the women defeated Duke and Rutgers, both of whom finished last season in the top-20 of the CRCA poll. The Men topped Navy and Holy Cross who were both in the top-20 of the IRCA poll.
Men's and women's rowing return to action in the spring.
