No. 3 Women's Squash Earns First Ever Program Win Against Yale

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 3 Drexel women's squash team made program history on Sunday with its first ever win against Yale, beating the No. 5 Bulldogs, 5-4.
In a reversal of Friday's contest against Columbia, it was the top of the ladder that carried the Dragons as Drexel took a commanding lead early in the match, going up 3-0. At number two, Karina Tyma defeated Elizabeth Ross 11-5, 11-1, 11-9. In the number four position, Margot Prow continued her stellar campaign with an 8-11, 11-2, 11-9, 13-11 victory against Brianna Jefferson.
Playing in the fifth position, Dina Rosli went up 2-1 on Meghna Sreedhar. Sreedhar won the fourth game and had leads of 4-0 and 8-4 in the fifth, but Rosli rallied to claim the match 6-11, 11-4, 11-4, 6-11, 12-10.
Yale stole a point back at number seven, but Sanya Vats made it 4-1 DU with her 11-4, 11-4, 11-9 win against Lindsay Westerfield in the ninth spot. Drexel claimed its historic victory when Alina Bushma swept Sneha Sivakumar at number one, 11-6, 14-12, 12-10.
The Dragons are now off until the new year when they travel to Washington D.C. to take on Navy on Friday, January 13.
