
Historic Season For Women's Squash Ends As National Runners Up

BOSTON, Mass. – The Drexel University women's squash team wrapped a historic season as the national runners up, following an 8-1 decision against No. 1 Harvard on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dragons pulled home a point at number eight when Rosli earned her win, downing Amira Singh 11-8, 11-3, 7-11, 11-4.
Drexel put up a strong battle early as two of the first three matches went to five games. At number five, Sanya Vats battled to an 8-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-6, 11-6 decision against Serena Daniel. In the ninth position, Lydia Robinson was dealt a 7-11, 14-12, 9-11, 11-6, 11-9 setback against Brecon Welch.
In the second rotation, Brooke Herring had a back and forth contest with Evie Coxon before a 2-11, 11-7, 11-4, 7-11, 11-5 final.

Several members of Drexel will compete at the CSA Individual Championships to be held March 4-6 in Philadelphia.

HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE
- With the second place finish, the Dragons claim their best ever result at the CSA Howe Cup.
- DU finished the season with 16 wins, smashing the previous program record of 12 set in the 2019-20 season.
- Dina Rosli finished the team portion of the season with a perfect 16-0 record, ranking second on the single-season wins list. She becomes the first Drexel squash player to compete in at least 10 matches and not have a loss.
