Three Advance to Draw Finals for Drexel Squash

PHILADELPHIA – Haris Qasim, Brooke Herring, and Noa Romero of the Drexel men's and women's squash teams continued their marches through the CSA Individual championships on Saturday as all three advanced to the finals of their respective draws.
A win in the finals earns Second Team All-America honors.
Qasim was the first to compete for the Dragons and downed second-seeded James Wyatt of Columbia 11-5, 11-6, 11-5 in the Molloy North draw.
In a later match, Romero found herself down 2-0 before coming away with the reverse sweep to beat Maria Moya 4-11, 6-11, 11-3, 12-10, 11-2, advancing to the Holleran South draw championship.
The final Dragon of the day to compete was Herring who took down Emily Rose of Princeton 11-9, 9-11, 11-7, 11-9 to earn a berth in the Holleran West final.
Also in Holleran South, Ciara Richards won her consolation semifinal, downing Riddhi Joshi from Yale 12-10, 11-9, 11-6.
In Holleran North, Margot Prow saw a successful first collegiate campaign come to an end with a hard fought 13-11, 12-10, 11-7 contest against No. 2 seed Christy Tan Yin Lau of Yale.
