Women's Rowing Concludes Competition at Sunshine State Invitational

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Drexel University women's rowing team completed its competition at the Sunshine State Invitational with three performances in grand final events on Saturday morning.
Opening the day, the V8+ team of Natalie Cleri (coxswain), Grace Comerford (stroke), Hayley McKeever, Alexandra Natale, Kirby Droogan, Isabella D'Angelo, Mollie Knoff, Giavanna Hunt, and Kayla Driscoll (bow) placed fourth with a time of 6:33.38, just .27 behind third place Tulsa.
Next up in the 2V8+ final, the Dragons turned in a third place finish, coming in with a time of 6:38.3, less than two seconds behind Louisville and more than two seconds ahead of Iowa.
In the final race for Drexel, DU placed fifth in the V4+ grand final with a time of 7:33.25.
The Dragons return to action next Saturday, April 9, when they head to Cherry Hill, N.J. to compete in the Knecht Cup Regatta on the Cooper River.
