Women's Rowing Takes Three Races At Kelly Cup Regatta

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's rowing team won all three races it entered, including the Varsity 8+, as the Dragons won the Kelly Cup on Saturday.
The V8+, rowing in Alleva XVII took its race as the group of Natalie Cleri (coxswain), Grace Comerford (stroke), Hayley McKeever, Mollie Knoff, Alexandra Natale, Isabella D'Angelo, Kirby Droogan, Giavanna Hunt, and Kayla Driscoll (bow) crossed the finish line first in a time of 6:35.8.
Also winning on the day were the 2V8+ boat of Olivia Szabo (coxswain), Julianna Rogers (stroke), Rita Keefer, Morgan Van Dexter, Rachel Willey, Lexie Hain, Rachel Civan, Katie Ernst, and Valentina Frusone (bow) who competed in Cara Fry, clocking a 6:48.9..
The final victory came in the V4+ as Chloe Speciale (coxswain), Anna Kretzer (stroke), Abby Citta, Taylor Powell, and Genevieve Rowlands took to the water in Marci and finished with a time of 7:29.7
The women send four boats to Worcester, Mass. for the Eastern Sprints Regatta on Sunday. Following that, both squads compete in the Dad Vail Regatta on May 13-14.
