Three Dragons Named in Conference Postseason Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Three Dragons have been selected to the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Tennis All-Conference Teams. On Tuesday, the conference announced that Lorie Lemongo was named to the Second Team singles, while Lemongo and Mya Fuentes were named to the Second Team doubles. In addition, Isabel Cabrerizo was selected to the Third Team singles.
Lemongo, a freshman, started her career for the Dragons with an impressive 19-11 record in singles play. The Yaounde, Cameroon native finished the regular season with a six-match win streak dating to her 6-2, 6-0 win against Amber Fuller of Norfolk State on March 23. In doubles play, Lemongo paired with Fuentes in 24 matches, the most of any pair for the Dragons. The two ended with an 11-13 overall record and a 3-4 tab in conference play throughout the year.
Cabrerizo capped her sophomore year with a 16-11 singles record. The Logrono, Spain native finished her second year with the Dragons on a three-match win streak, including a third-seeded victory in the quarterfinal match against Delaware in the CAA Championships.
