POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – A pair of long distance goals from Annalena O'Reilly led the Drexel women's soccer team to a 2-0 win against the Marist Red Foxes on Sunday afternoon.

BY THE NUMBERS

O'Reilly netted her first two goals of the season, coming in the third and 81st minutes.
Defensively in the second half, Alexis Dooley made two saves, combining with Molly Piso for the clean sheet.
The Dragons open the season 2-0 for the fourth time in program history, matching the efforts of 2000, 2008, and 2016.

HOW IT HAPPENED

For the second consecutive match, Drexel got on the board early as in the third minute, O'Reilly showed her ability from deep, striking the ball from outside the top right of the box into the lower left corner of the net for a 1-0 Dragons lead.
DU held a distinct advantage on the offensive end in the first half, coming up with the initial six shots of the contest, holding a 6-2 edge at the midway point.
Marist flipped the field and went on the attack early in the second, accumulating seven shots in the final 45.
O'Reilly put the match away in the 81st minute as off a free kick, she collected a loose ball at the top of the box and drove it into the net.
