HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team was able to muster a shot on target in the first 20 minutes. The Dragons opened the scoring in the 24th as Lehigh tried to move the ball from midfield to its back line. Touey intercepted the pass, cut past the center back, and beat the keeper 1v1 for her second goal of the season.
- The Mountain Hawks knotted the score in the 49th minute, chipping a ball over the head of the goalie.
- Drexel retook the lead at the end of the 69th minute as once again it was Touey, running on to a loose ball beyond the back line of the defense. With just the goaltender to beat, she calmly maneuvered by and walked the ball into the net.
- Once again, Lehigh tied it, this time just four minutes later on a header. At the top of the 77th minute, Drexel regained the lead for good as Duffy played the ball out wide to the right. Collecting it herself, she came back to the box and struck a right-footed shot into the top left corner where the ball rattled off the bottom of the crossbar and the far post, settling into the back of the goal.
