Men's Swimming and Diving Upended by Towson 172-128

TOWSON, MD. - The Drexel men's swimming and diving team couldn't get it done against Towson on the road in a meet on Saturday. Despite some standout performances, the Dragons fell by a score of 172-128.
Devin Bauman had himself a strong day in the pool, as he was able to finish first in the 1000 free with a time of 9:39.94. Bauman got another first place finish in the 500 free, clocking in at 4:43.79.
Kacper Karnik also had an impressive day. Karnik finished first in the 100 breast, finishing up with a time of 57.33. Other first place finishes for the Dragons include Sebastian Smith in the 100 free (46.28), John Scully in the 50 free (20.98) and Alessio Gianni in the 200 fly (1:51.52).
Meanwhile on the diving board, Jack Patton placed second on the three meter board, putting up a score of 206.78. Patton was also able to find the podium on the one meter board, finishing third with a score of 245.33.
Up next, the Dragons gear up for the CAA Championships. The three day event starts on February 22 from Hampton, Va.
