About Drexel
The men's team has been led by the freshman and sophomore duo of Sebastian Smith and Alessio Gianni. Smith was selected as CAA Rookie Swimmer of the Month back to back for the months of October and November and holds the 100 free time in the conference. Gianni has also had an impressive sophomore season. The San Gimignano, Italy native set a program in the 400 IM with a time of 3:51.72 at the West Virginia Invitational. The Sophomore was also apart of the program record-breaking 400 free relay team which clocked in at 2:56.51.
The women's team looks to be a force in this year's championships. Ewa Osiniak was named CAA Swimmer to the Week on Dec. 6 after three first-place finishes in Drexel's meet against Lehigh. Meanwhile, Megan Ehrnfeldt was able to break a program record in just her first year as a freshman as she sean the 100 fly in just 54.61 seconds at the West Virginia Invitational. Additionally, Chelsea Gravereaux has closed out her senior year in style. She has the second-best time in the 100 free as well as the third-best time in the 50 free.
