HAMDEN, CONN. - Delfi Cabral and Marti Sanabria scored in the second half as the Dragons defeated Quinnipiac, 2-0 in their inaugural matchup against the Bobcats on Sunday afternoon. Drexel finishes the regular season at 14-5 which is the highest since 2012 when the Dragons closed the year at 15-7 and won the program's first Coastal Athletic Association title.

BY THE NUMBERS

Hadfield earned three saves in the cage and improved her Goals Against Average to 1.07.
Drexel held QU to five shots total and three on goal.
DU earned its fifth shutout this fall.
Val Van Hellemont and Natali Foster recorded three shots on goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After four combined shots between the two teams, the game was scoreless at halftime.
Two minutes into the third quarter, Marti Sanabria scored her third goal of the season, and Pien Elsen and Val Van Hellemont earned assists.
Delfi Cabral added an insurance tally in the 39th minute with help from Pili Lemoine for the fifth goal of her rookie campaign.
