Dragons Travel to Lehigh on Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA – The Dragons travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to face the Lehigh Mountain Hawks on Tuesday, November 28, at 6 p.m. all action can be seen on ESPN+.
Last Time Out
A late-game comeback by the Drexel women's basketball team (2-2) was spoiled by the Saint Joseph's Hawks (4-0) on Sunday night in the Daskalakis Athletic Center, 64-53.
Drexel and Saint Joseph's struggled offensively as both teams shot below their average shooting percentage. Drexel shot 6-of-19 in the first half but shot the ball much better in the second half, shooting 15-for-32.
Brooke Mullin scored 17 points to set a career-high. Amaris Baker finished her third game of the season in double digits. The junior contributed 14 to the total and also grabbed four rebounds. Laine McGurk finished the third-straight game with 10 or more points. The freshman scored 10 points.
About Lehigh
The Mountain Hawks enter the non-conference competition on Tuesday with a 5-1 record, coming off of a loss against Bowling Green, 85-73 on November 23. Of the five wins this season, Lehigh has defeated a couple opponents that Drexel will meet later in the season. On Nov. 14, Lehigh took down Delaware, 78-77. A week later, the Mountain Hawks downed the Marist Red Foxes, 82-64.
Lehigh has three players who average double-digits in points. Ella Stemmer leads the way, averaging 15.7 points per game. She also averages the most minutes per game at 29.8.
Lily Fandre is second on the team in PPG with 10.7. Defensively, she has been a threat, coming up with six steals and seven blocks. The third player to score double-digits on average is Colleen McQuillen, who checks in with 10.2 PPG and 3.8 Assists Per Game.
Addie Micir is in her second season at the helm of the Lehigh women's basketball team. The Princeton '11 alum finished her debut coaching season with a 17-14 record, leading the Mountain Hawks to the second round of the Patriot League Tournament.

Tuesday will be the 27th matchup between the two teams. Drexel holds a 17-9 advantage over the Moutain Hawks, winning the past five meetings.
The last meetup, which was played on Nov. 22, 2022, was the first time the two teams met since the 2006-07 season. The first meeting overall was January 22, 1981, where the Dragons defeated the Mountain Hawks, 57-55.
Lehigh has not won a contest against Drexel since February 12, 1996. The Mountain Hawks defeated the Dragons, 77-63.

Four players scored in double figures and the Drexel women's basketball team committed a season-low in turnovers as the Dragons downed the Lehigh Mountain Hawks 84-61 on November 22, 2022.
Keishana Washington led all scorers with 33 points. It was her third time last season with 30 or more in a game and her 38th consecutive contest in double figures. Washington also set a career-high with 10 assists, earning her first collegiate double-double.
Maura Hendrixson netted 12 in the game to go along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Hetta Saatman reached double figures with 11 points and added seven boards. As a team, Drexel shot 33-for-64 (51.2 percent) from the field and had 24 assists. The Dragons also went 9-for-17 from three-point range including four treys by Hendrixson.
DU turned the ball over just five times in the contest.
