Dragons Return Home to Face UAlbany on Saturday Afternoon

PHILADELPHIA - After playing its last five games away from home, Drexel will return to the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon. The Dragons will face UAlbany at 2 p.m. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker's Local 98 is once again the presenting sponsor of Drexel Men's Basketball. Saturday's game against the Great Danes is brought to you by the Sheraton University City.
About the Dragons
Drexel is now 5-5 after a 66-60 loss at West Virginia last Saturday. The Dragons held a two-point lead at intermission, but the Mountaineers opened up an eight-point lead late. Drexel was able to cut the gap to four with 48 seconds to play, but was unable to get any closer. Justin Moore led DU with 20 points, while Amari Williams added 12 points and a season-high 15 rebounds. The Dragons outrebounded the Mountaineers by seven but committed 17 turnovers in the game.
Through 10 games, Williams leads the club in scoring (11.7), rebounds (8.1) and blocks (21). The CAA Preseason Player of the Year is shooting .462 from the floor. Moore is right behind Williams with 11.3 points per game. He leads the team with 3.1 assists per game. Tri-captain Luke House is shooting a team-best .361 from behind the arc. Drexel has remained stingy on the defensive end, allowing just 62.2 points per game, which ranks 21st in the nation. The Dragons have also outrebounded their opponents by 7.5 per game.
About the Great Danes
UAlbany is 6-4 this season. The Greate Danes had their five-game winning streak snapped against Temple in the NABC Brooklyn Showcase, 78-73. Sebastian Thomas had 18 points to lead the Danes, while Jonathan Beagle added 16 points and 15 rebounds. Thomas (16.8), Amar'e Marshall (15.1) and Beagle (12.2) each average more than 10 points per game. Beagle leads the squad with 9.2 3-pointers per game, while Ny'Mire Little is their top 3-point shooter at .387. The Great Danes average 78 points per game and make 7.6 3-pointers per contest.
