Drexel Hosts No. 22 Florida State on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel Dragons host the No. 22 Florida State Seminoles in a Sunday afternoon matchup. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. and can be seen on FloHoops and NBC Sports Philadelphia+.
Drexel's game against Florida State will be featured as part of FloSports' Live-To-Social initiative. The game will be streamed on the FloHoops YouTube channel, Twitter/X account and Facebook page free of charge for viewers.
Last Time Out
A career-high 27-point performance by Brooke Mullin propelled the Dragons (4-3) past Buffalo (5-3), 65-57, on Saturday afternoon at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
Mullin scored a career and team season-high 27 points on 11-for-22 shooting and three treys. Her 27 points top her previous career high of 17, which she set against Lehigh earlier this season.
Grace O'Neill finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Chole Hodges was the third Dragon to crack double-digit scoring with 11 points on four assists and six rebounds.
Drexel's scoring off turnovers shined against Buffalo. DU caused 17 turnovers and scored 25 points off those turnovers.

The 22nd-ranked Florida State Seminoles enter Sunday's game with a 7-3 record, most recently falling to the No. 2 UCLA Bruins, 95-78 as part of the Invesco QQQ Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Showcase. It will be just the second true road game for the Seminoles this season.
The Seminoles are led by four players who all average above 10 points per game. Ta'Niya Latson leads the team with 18.4 PPG. The sophomore guard has four game with more than 20 points, including a 35 point performance against against Florida. Following Latson, O'Mariah Gordon, Makayla Timpson and Sara Bejedi all follow with 14.2, 12.4 and 11.2 points, respectively.
The Seminoles are coached by Brooke Wyckoff in her third season. The Florida State alum of '01 has led the Seminoles to their 10th straight NCAA Championships appearance in the 2022-23 season.

It will not be the first time that the Dragons have faced a Top-25 opponent at the DAC. In fact, Drexel has a 2-0 record when playing at home against a ranked opponent.
Most recently, another ACC powerhouse came to the DAC and was upended by the Dragons. The No. 11 Syracuse Orange visited on Nov. 21, 2016 and fell to DU, 62-61.
Drexel's other game at home against a ranked opponent came one Jan. 3, 2010, as DU welcomed the No. 25 James Madison Dukes to the DAC and defeated them, 68-67.
National Level of Play
The Dragons pride themselves on its defensive play. As of Dec. 15, Drexel ranked fifth in the nation in scoring defense at 49.3. The leader is Old Dominion who has held its opponents to 46.1 points per game.
DU is also ranked fifth in the nation in turnovers per game at 11.0. Colorado State leads Division I with just 7.6 turnovers per game.
