Drexel Welcomes Buffalo to DAC on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - The Dragons welcome the Buffalo Bulls to the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Saturday, December 9. The game is slated to tip at 2 p.m.
Last Time Out
Chloe Hodges scored a career-high 18 points and led the Drexel women's basketball team (3-3) to a victory against the Marist Red Foxes (2-6), 51-36, on Wednesday night in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Hodges led the scoring after shooting 9-for-11 and corralling seven boards. The mark tops her previous career-high of 15 set on January 29, 2023, against Elon.
Momo LaClair added 11 points to the effort after going 5-for-7, grabbing five rebounds and adding two steals.
Drexel's defense was stellar, holding Marist to just 28.6% from the field. The Dragons also held the Red Foxes to single digits in three quarters, including holding the home team to just four in the final quarter.
Drexel never lost the lead, despite Marist's 18-10 third quarter. DU pushed its largest lead to 15 with a minute left to play in the game.

The Bulls enter Saturday with a 5-2 record, most recently falling to CAA opponent, Stony Brook, 83-52. Prior to the loss on Saturday, December 2 to the Seawolves, Buffalo had pieced together a four-game winning streak, defeating Niagara, Stonehill, St. Bonaventure and Kutztown.
Buffalo has four players who average double figures with one almost averaging 20 points per game. Chellia Watson averages 32.3 minutes per game and is shooting 46% from the field. The redshirt senior has pushed her points per game average to 19.7, which is 36th in the nation. Kirsten Lewis-Williams follows Watson, averaging 12.3 PPG. Rana Elhusseini and Hattie Ogden complete the list for double-digit scoring averages with 10.4 and 10.3, respectively.
The Bulls are coached by Becky Burke, who is in her second season at the helm of the Buffalo program. The Louisville alum of 2012 made stops at Embry-Riddle, Charleston (WV) and USC Upstate before landing at Buffalo prior to the 2022-23 season.
