Men's Swimming and Diving Win Two Gold Medals on Final Day of CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. - The Drexel men's swimming and diving team completed the fourth and final day of the CAA Championships on Saturday evening.
The Dragons won four medals in total on Saturday starting with the 100 free where Sebastian Smith won a silver medal, clocking in at 43.67. Up next was the 200 breast where Kacper Karnik won Drexel its first gold medal at the CAA's this year with a time of 1:57.37. The gold medals did not stop there.
In the 200 fly, Jakub Kwasny won the gold, thanks to his time of 1:44.45. This mark also set a program record which lasted since last year's CAAs in 2022. Lastly, the Dragons won the bronze in the 400 free relay. The team consisted of Jakub Kwasny, Kevin Spear, Sebastian Smith and John Scully as their time of 2:55.26 set another program record. This broke the mark set back at the CAA's in 2020.
UNCW won the team championship after scoring 890. Following the Seahawks was Delaware with 606, Towson with 577.5 and Drexel with 507.5. William & Mary and Monmouth round out the standings scoring 424.5 and 241.5 respectively.
