
No. 7 Men's Squash Sweeps Dickinson to Open MASC Championships

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 7 Drexel University men's squash team opened the Mid-Atlantic Squash Championships with authority, as they were able to take down Dickinson College by a score of 9-0 Friday evening.
Kicking things off for the Dragons was José López who won with an 11-5 11-2, 11-4 score at the third spot. Following this was an 11-4, 11-4, 11-5 victory for Filip Krueger in the sixth spot. Noel Heaton picked up the win at the seven spot scoring an 11-2, 11-2, 11-2 win with Matias Knudsen ending with an 11-8, 11-3, 11-3 victory at number one.
Drexel clinched a win at number eight as Shomari Wiltshire finished up with an 11-3, 11-3, 11-1 decision. Up next was Fritiof Jacobsson who won at number five scoring an 11-5, 11-6, 11-5. Shaan Dalal was successful against his opponent, going 11-6, 11-1, 11-3 at number nine, followed by a 7-11, 11-5, 11-2, 11-4 win for Yuri Pelbart in the four spot. Finishing the job for the Dragons was Nico Serna at number two, winning by a score of 11-1, 11-8, 11-7.
Up next the Dragons face-off against No. 16 Franklin & Marshall as the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championships roll on. The action starts Saturday morning with a start time of 11:00 a.m.
