CHESTER, Pa. – Kyle Tucker has signed A MLS NEXT Pro contract with the Philadelphia Union II through the end of 2023 with a club option for 2024, the organization announced on Tuesday.
"Kyle is a promising young midfielder who has the potential to make an immediate impact on the field," said Philadelphia Union II Head Coach, Marlon LeBlanc. "He's a box-to-box midfielder who is good with both feet and his dedication and team-first mentality fits well into our philosophy. We're excited to welcome him to the team and look forward to integrating him as quickly as possible."
Tucker was a five-year contributor to the Drexel men's soccer program. During his career, the Phoenixville, Pa. native appeared in 60 matches, starting in 49. Of those 60 appearances, the midfielder scored five goals and dished 15 assists over 4,136 minutes. In his fifth year, Tucker helped the Dragons reach postseason play for three-straight seasons, the first time in program history since joining the CAA.
Tucker joins Drexel Men's Soccer Alumni and former teammate, Chris Donovan '21, in the Philadelphia Union organization. Donovan was drafted by the Union in the 2021 Superdraft and has played in 16 matches, starting in three matches, with one assist.
