BOONE, N.C. – Pili Lemoine and Natali Foster earned hat tricks in Drexel's offensive outburst for an 8-0 victory over Queens University (N.C.) on Sunday afternoon. Lemoine recorded the first goals of her collegiate career. This marked the highest output for the Dragons since an 8-2 triumph over Rider on August 26, 2018. The contest was the first matchup between the two schools as Drexel collected its second consecutive shutout and improved its record to 3-1.

BY THE NUMBERS

Liz Chipman added two tallies in the first half.
The defense held the Royals to six shots and two on goal in the contest.
DU's offense forced 42 shots with 32 on goal.
Drexel held the advantage with 18 penalty corners.
Marti Sanabria and Foster each led the team with two assists and five other Dragons collected helpers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the seventh minute, Drexel earned its fourth consecutive penalty corner and Liz Chipman buried a shot on a pass from Pien Elsen to give Drexel a 1-0 lead.
Early in the second quarter, Stephanie Oleykowski and Foster assisted Chipman's second goal of the game.
Foster collected her second and third tallies of the season in consecutive minutes early in the second period to extend the lead to three.
In the 26th minute, Lemoine scored the first tally of her career on an assist from Sanabria and minutes later was successful again with help from Grace O'Connor and Val Van Hellemont. The Dragons entered halftime with a 6-0 advantage.
Lemoine added to the scoreboard on a pass from Foster in the 43rd minute.
In goal, Megan Hadfield turned away two shots on goal by the Royals in the second half.
Foster found another goal with Drexel's eighth tally in the final two minutes.
