No. 8 Women's Squash Downed by No. 9 Cornell 5-4 in Tight Matchup

ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 8 Drexel women's squash team was defeated by the No. 9 Cornell Big Red on the road Saturday by a score of 5-4. With the loss, the Dragons dropped to 3-4 while the Big Red stays undefeated at 7-0.
Karina Tyma got the first victory of the day for the Dragons as she defeated Aishwarya Khubchandani 6-11, 11-5, 11-8, 7-11, 11-8 in the two spot. Sanya Vats also went the distance for the Dragons in the three spot as she defeated Ananya Dabke, 5-11, 11-1, 13-11, 6-11, 11-5. Fast forward to the five spot, Moa Bonnemark downed Christa Kay, 7-11, 11-6, 11-4, 11-3. Lastly, it was Lydia Robinson in the seven spot as she took down Ania LaDow in a 3-0 sweep, scoring 14-12, 11-6, 11-8.
Up next, the Dragons will be back at the Daskalakis Athletic Center to take on Princeton on Tuesday, January 16. Action is slated to start at 6:00 p.m.
