No. 10 Women's Squash Downs No. 9 Columbia to win Howe Cup Consolation Bracket

PHILADELPHIA– The No. 10 Drexel Women's Squash Team defeated No. 9 Columbia in a 9-0 sweep to win the 1st consolation bracket of the Howe Cup. With the win, the Dragons improved their overall record to 8-8 while the Lions dropped down to 5-10. The Dragons finished ninth overall in the tournament.
Emma Bartley got the first win on the day for Drexel, securing the win against Amal Izhar in the four spot, 11-9, 11-7, 11-5. Next up was Claudia Adam from the nine spot, defeating Uditi Mishra 11-8, 11-7, 11-5. Moa Bonnemark was next in the order as she took down Eugenia Li, 11-9, 11-5, 11-3 from the six spot. After Bonnemark, Lydia Robinson topped Advita Sharma in the eight spot, 11-5, 11-4, 11-5.
Emi Falconi was next in the order, securing the victory against Aleeza Khan from the five spot, 11-5, 11-6, 11-6. Sanya Vats followed this up with a win from the three spot, defeating Sarah Cao 11-2, 7-11, 11-2, 11-3. Margot Prow was able to take down Erica McGillicuddy from the top of the ladder, winning 14-12, 11-7, 11-7. Up next, it was Dina Rosli who secured the victory from the seven spot, taking down Kaavya Bansal 13-11, 11-4, 4-11, 11-6. Lastly, Karina Tyma finished the deal against Nourina Khalifa, going the distance 11-7, 8-11, 5-11, 11-9, 11-9.
