
No. 8 Men's Squash Falls to No. 4 Harvard, 5-4

PHILADELPHIA– The No. 8 Drexel men's squash team fell to No. 4 Harvard 5-4 in the semifinals of the Potter Cup consolation bracket. After the loss, Drexel fell to 9-8 on the season while the 11-4 Crimson will advance to the final round. The Dragons finish tied for seventh overall in the tournament.
Youssef Bastawy got it started for Dragons from the two spot, taking down Ido Burstein 11-5, 5-11, 11-8, 11-3. After Bastawy, it was Sean Murphy who defeated Ishant Shah from the eight spot, 3-11, 11-7, 11-6, 12-10. Next, José López was victorious against Neel Joshi from the seven spot, going the distance 11-9, 11-7, 5-11, 8-11, 11-5. Lastly, Darien Benn defeated Conner Stoltz 3-1 from nine spot, clinching the victory with a diving game-winner from the back, 9-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-8.
With the team portion of its schedule now finished, The Dragons will now turn its attention towards the CSA Individual Championships. The three-day event will be held at the Arlen Specter U.S. Squash Center from March 8-10.
