Drexel Starts Spring Season With Second Place Finishes Against Columbia and Bates

LEONIA, N.J. – Drexel women's rowing began their spring season with a pair of second place finishes against Columbia and Bates Saturday morning.
The DU Varsity 8+, competing in Jim and Toni Downey, composed of Chloe Speciale (Coxswain), Julianna Rogers, Kira Tracy, Taylor Powell, Mollie Knoff, Fiona Steele, Sarah Ghazaz, Baylor Henry and Kayla Driscoll started the first race of the day with a second place finish, clocking in at a time of 7:29.56.
The second varsity 8+, competing in Alleva XVII, composed of Maddie Depommier (Coxswain), Margaret Dobrenko, Hannah Walseth, Ariana Townsend, Kieran Harrington, Alyssa Bucci, Jaelyn Walsh, Colette Zidek and Rita Keefer also finished second, coming home with a time of 7:40.50.
Drexel is back on the water next week, March 29-30 as they compete in the Sunshine State Invitational in Sarasota, Florida.
