SARASOTA, Fla. - Drexel women's rowing concluded day two of the Sunshine State Invitational with an eighth place finish in the Varsity 8+ race. The Dragons finished 12th out of 16 teams in the Benderson Cup Standings.
The V8+ team of Chloe Speciale (Coxswain), Julianna Rogers (Stroke), Kira Tracy, Taylor Powell, Mollie Knoff, Kayla Driscoll, Hannah Walseth, Baylor Henry and Sarah Ghazaz (Bow) raced to a time of 6:46.81. Miami finished first at a time of 6:33.69.
The Varsity 4+ team finished second in the Petite Final race, coming just under two seconds behind first place Kansas. The Second Varsity 8+ team came home eighth in its Petite Final race with a time of 9:16.85 due to a equipment malfunction.
The Dragons return to the water April 12-13 for the George Washington Invite in Washington, D.C.
