WASHINGTON, D.C. - Drexel women's rowing concluded day two of the George Washington Invite with two second place finishes. Varsity 4 races were once again canceled due to weather.
The Varsity 8 team, competing in Jim and Toni Downey, composed of Chloe Speciale (Coxswain), Julianna Rogers (Stroke), Sarah Ghazaz, Taylor Powell, Mollie Knoff, Fiona Steele, Rita Keefer, Kayla Driscoll and Kira Tracy (Bow) came home behind the George Washington boat with a time of 6:38.2.
The Second Varsity 8 team, competing in Alleva XVII, composed off Maddie Depommier (Coxswain), Ariana Townsend (Stroke), Jaelyn Walsh, Margaret Dobrenko, Katie Ernst, Baylor Henry, Rachel Civan, Margaret Horgan and Kieran Harrington (Bow) crossed the line with a time of 6:23.35, 4.1 seconds behind the first place George Washington boat.
