Drexel Athletics SAAC Recognized With Collaborative Efforts Award at Drexel University Student Life IMPACT Awards

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) was recognized with the Collaborative Efforts Award at the Drexel Student Life IMPACT Awards for its collaboration with the Undergraduate Student Government Association (USGA) during the community clean-up this year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Presented by Drexel University Student Life, the Impact Awards honors Drexel Dragons who have made positive contributions to the Drexel community. Celebrated each spring, the Impact Awards are presented to deserving candidates who meet the corresponding award criteria.
"SAAC is incredibly honored to receive the Drexel University Student Life IMPACT Collaborative Efforts Award," Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development Peaches Brown said. "This recognition is especially meaningful as it acknowledges our Community Clean-up event, a collaborative initiative with USGA and University and Community Partnerships held this past January. It's truly rewarding to see an event focused on giving back to the community receive such accolades. This award not only highlights our commitment to community service but also signifies our growing collaboration with organizations beyond athletics, marking a significant milestone in our efforts to extend our impact."
The Collaborative Efforts Award recognizes a co-sponsored program or initiative that demonstrates synergy and success as a result of working together. This award celebrates student organizations that have made collaboration a top priority. The recipients have demonstrated they can break down barriers between diverse student populations and foster greater communication between different organizations on campus.
