Dragon of the Week: Ehrnfeldt, Smith, Nichter

PHILADELPHIA - Megan Ehrnfeldt, Sebastian Smith, Luke Nichter were named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopedics, for the week of January 6th-January 12th.
Megan Ehrnfeldt member of women's swimming and diving, earned four first place finishes on Saturday in a win against Delaware. Ehrnfeldt secured first place in the 200 Butterfly, clocking in at 2:06.43 and the 100 Butterfly with a time of 55.99. The junior's two other first place finishes came as part of the 400 free relay team and 200 medley relay team. The 400 free relay team featured Brittany Corbett, Olivia Scherbin, Megan Ehrnfedlt, and Mari Alencar as they captured first place with a time of 3:30.15. The 200 medley relay team of Federica Nocera, Emma Pillich, Megan Ehrnfeldt, and Mari Alencar took first place in 1:45.39.
Sebastian Smith, member of men's swimming and diving, was apart of four pool records in a win over Delaware this weekend. Individually, Smith broke the pool record in the 50 free, in which he already owned the record, clocking in at 20.31, and in the 100 free with a time of 44.42.The junior was also apart of two relay pool records. The 200 medley relay team of Theo Andreopoulos, Bartosz Loter, Jakub Kwasny, and Sebastian Smith set a record with a time of 1:29.57. The final record came in the 400 free relay where Theo Andreopoulos, Reds Rullis, Jakub Kwasny, and Sebastian Smith finished in 2:59.80.
Luke Nichter, member of wrestling, picked up two wins over former NCAA Tournament qualifiers at the NWCA Mid-Major National Duals this past weekend. Nichter pulled the upset over No. 20 Jude Swisher of Penn, getting the fall in the first two minutes of the opening period. The redshirt senior also took down Cal Poly's Legend Lamer, a three-time NCAA qaulifer, by a 3-2 decision. Nichter finished with a 3-1 record, collecting two falls and 15 individual points.
