Kavounov, Fiedler Lead Dragons at ITA Northeast Regionals

PHILADELPHIA – Drexel women's tennis wrapped up competition at the ITA Northeast Regionals, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. The Dragons were highlighted by junior Anastasia Kavounov and sophomore Rebecca Fiedler, who advanced to the Round of 16 in doubles after earning wins over opponents from Penn State and Binghamton. Kavounov also reached the singles main draw for the second consecutive year after two qualifying victories.
"We learned a lot as a group this weekend and saw some really positive steps forward," head coach Eric Biscoveanu said. "Shoutout to Anastasia and Rebecca for showing how much their game has grown since teaming up a year ago. We're eager to get back on the practice court and build toward the Dragon Invite in two weeks."
