PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Drexel field hockey earned a 4–0 win over Towson in CAA play at Buckley Field on Friday afternoon. The Dragons scored in every quarter and limited the Tigers to just two total shots while improving to 9–6 overall and 3–1 in conference action.
How It Happened
Drexel got on the board early when Anna Castaldo redirected a corner from Natali Foster at the 5:14 mark of the first quarter. Pili Lemoine extended the lead midway through the second, finishing a give-and-go with Valentine Van Hellemont to make it 2–0. Lemoine struck again just after halftime, driving in her second of the day unassisted to push the margin to three.She capped her hat trick in the fourth quarter, converting another corner opportunity from Van Hellemont and Fleur Hamers to seal the 4–0 victory. Drexel outshot Towson 20–2 and held a 12–2 edge in penalty corners. Goalkeeper Halle Geiger earned her second shutout of the season in a complete-game effort.
