Dragon of the Week: Geiger and Club Championship 8+

PHILADELPHIA – Halle Geiger and the Men's Rowing Club Championship 8+ named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, for the week of October 21st–27th.
Halle Geiger, a member of the field hockey team, anchored the Drexel defense across two strong performances, totaling eight saves while allowing just one goal over the weekend. The redshirt sophomore made four stops in Friday's 1-0 loss at Northeastern before recording her third shutout of the season in Sunday's 2-0 victory at Wagner. The Townsend, Del. native has appeared in 12 games this fall, posting a 0.85 goals-against average and three shutouts to lead the Dragons in the cage.
The Men's Rowing Club Championship 8+ earned a first-place finish at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on the Schuylkill River. Rowing in Lois Krall II, the crew of Thomas Tran (Coxswain), Samuel Lozek (Stroke), Logan Lyle, Dejan Manojlovic, Carter Lucas, Aidan Seiger, Aidan Ionescu, Jack Brennan, and Filip Milanovic (Bow) posted a winning time of 11:07.061, finishing nearly 14 seconds ahead of second-place Penn. The victory capped a strong day for the Dragons, who also collected top-five finishes in the Championship 8+ and collegiate single events.
