Dragons Draw Saint Joseph’s in NCAA Play-In Round

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Drexel field hockey team will face Saint Joseph's in the NCAA Tournament play-in game on Wednesday, November 12, at 2 p.m. in Chapel Hill, N.C. on ESPN+. The Dragons earned their NCAA berth after winning the 2025 CAA Championship with victories over Northeastern and top-seeded Monmouth, securing the program's first conference title since 2012. This appearance marks Drexel's third trip to the NCAA Tournament, and the Dragons enter national postseason play with a 13–7 overall record.
Drexel is led by CAA Player of the Year and Tournament MVP Valentine Van Hellemont, who posted four points during championship weekend, along with Co-Defensive Player of the Year Natali Foster, a member of the CAA All-Tournament Team. Foster was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Marti Sanabria and Anna Castaldo, both of whom played pivotal roles in Drexel's postseason run.
The Dragons will meet Saint Joseph's in the NCAA play-in round, with the winner advancing to face top-seeded North Carolina in the first round of the national tournament.
