Dragons Set to Play La Salle in Toyota Big 5 Classic on Saturday at Xfinity Mobile Arena

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's basketball team will face off against the La Salle Explorers in the first game of the Toyota Big 5 Classic at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Saturday, December 6, at 2 p.m. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker's Local 98 is once again the presenting sponsor of Drexel Men's Basketball.
ABOUT DREXEL
The Dragons fell to the American University Eagles, 75-73, at the Bender Arena. Shane Blakeney led the team with 22 points. Blakeney shot 50% from the field while capturing five rebounds and stealing the ball twice. Kevon Vanderhorst scored 13 points while shooting 54.5% from the field and having three assists. Villiam Garcia Adsten had 11 rebounds and an assist. Martin de Laporterie and Garfield Turner each blocked two shots.
ABOUT LA SALLE
The Explorers are 3-6 after falling to Merrimack on Sunday. Darrius Nichols coaches them in his first season. Graduate student Jaeden Marshall leads the team in points, averaging 11.2 per game.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Dragons return to action on December 16 when they play the Howard University Bison. Tip-off is scheduled for 11 a.m. Coverage will be available on NBC Sports Philadelphia and FloCollege.
