Castaldo and Foster Earn Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team Honors

PHILADELPHIA – Drexel field hockey standouts Natali Foster and Anna Castaldo were named to the 2025 PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Team, as announced on Wednesday. The honor recognizes student-athletes in the Philadelphia region who excel both academically and athletically.
To qualify for Academic All-Area honors, a student-athlete must be in at least their second year and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher. The team is selected through voting by the sports information offices of 30 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Foster, a senior, started all 21 games for the Dragons and delivered one of the most complete seasons of her career. She finished with seven goals, four assists, and 18 points while anchoring a defensive unit that posted the best goals-against average in the CAA at 1.30. Foster earned CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors and logged more than 1,260 minutes, the highest total on the roster.
Castaldo, a graduate student, appeared in and started all 21 contests, contributing six goals, two assists, and 14 points. She remained one of Drexel's most consistent attacking threats and played a key role in the Dragons' run to the CAA Championship and NCAA Tournament
