Three Dragons Named to NFHCA Watchlist

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Three members of the Drexel Field Hockey team have been named to the 2026 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate Watch List. Valentine Van Hellemont, Pili Lemoine, and Fleur Hamers were each recognized for their efforts by the NFHCA on Thursday.

Van Hellemont, a two-time CAA Player of the Year, as well as the first player in Drexel history to be named an NFHCA First Team All-American, returns for her senior season. Last season Van Hellemont co-led the Dragons in points, contributing 12 assists and eight goals. Lemoine, a 2025 All-CAA First team selection, returns after tying for the team lead in points with eight goals and 12 assists. Hamers, an All-CAA Second Team and All Rookie selection last season, was also recognized as a Preseason All-CAA selection after contributing four goals and five assists.

Drexel opens the 2026 season going on the road to face No. 13 Maryland at College Park, Md. On August 28^th. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
