Men's Squash Advances to MASC Finals After Knocking off MIT 8-1

LANCASTER, PA – Drexel men's squash knocked off MIT 8-1 to advance to the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Final.

Haris Qasim set the tone with an 11-3, 11-3, 11-2 win over Mero Elmarassy, while Guido Lindner rebounded from an opening game loss to defeat Philip Hyun Su Price 3-1 (7-11, 11-3, 11-3, 11-4). Yuri Pollak Pelbart controlled his match, winning 11-2, 11-6, 11-2 against Sean-Winston Luo, and Charlie Taylor followed with a steady 3-0 victory over Robert Albani (11-7, 11-7, 11-7).

Dima Dumitru, Sean Murphy, Tavneet Singh Mundra, and Darien Benn all secured dominant straight-set wins. Thiago Cabrejos fought through a tight second game but prevailed 11-5, 16-14, 11-3 against Collin Wen.

The Dragons will compete in the finals tomorrow against Virginia at 12:00pm tomorrow.
