Dragons to Face Elon in 2025 Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA –The Drexel men's basketball team will be the No. 8 seed and face No. 9 seed Elon University in the second round of the 2025 Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship on March 8 at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C.
Towson, UNCW, Charleston and William & Mary were the top four teams and will receive a double-bye into the quarterfinals.
The postseason slate will begin with two First Round games on Friday as No. 12 Delaware (12-19, 5-13) faces No. 13 Stony Brook (8-23, 4-14) at 2 p.m., followed by No. 11 Hofstra (14-17, 6-12) and No. 14 North Carolina A&T (7-24, 3-15) at 4:30 p.m.
Friday's winner will join six other teams who secured a spot in Saturday's Second Round. March 8 will open with the Dragons (17-14, 9-9) taking on No. 9 Elon (17-14, 8-10) at 12 p.m., with No. 5 Campbell (15-16, 10-8) and the winner of the Delaware/Stony Brook game to follow at 2:30 p.m. Saturday's evening session will have No. 7 Northeastern (17-14, 9-9) facing No. 10 Hampton (16-15, 8-10) at 6 p.m., and No. 6 Monmouth (12-19, 10-8) against the winner of Hofstra/N.C. A&T at 8:30 p.m.
Top-seeded Towson (21-10, 16-2) will open Sunday's Quarterfinal competition at noon with No. 4 William & Mary (17-14, 11-7) to follow at 2:30 p.m. The evening session will feature No. 2 UNCW (24-7, 13-5) at 6 p.m. and No. 3 Charleston (23-8, 13-5) at 8:30 p.m.; all four teams will take on the winners of Saturday matchups.
The semifinals will be played Monday, March 10, at 6 and 8:30 p.m., with the CAA Championship game tipping off Tuesday, March 11, at 7 p.m.
