
Gratton Named Rookie Diver of the Year

CAA Men's and Women's Swimming and Dving Awards Announced
RICHMOND, Va.- Joshua Gratton has been named the CAA Men's Rookie Diver of the Year on Thursday afternoon.
Gratton becomes the seventh Dragon to win this award, and the first since Jake Patton in 2021. A native of Lansdale, Pa., Gratton delivered his top 1-meter dive of the season against Lehigh, scoring 283.80. He followed that performance with his best 3-meter dive in the next dual meet against Delaware, earning a score of 285.53.
The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) announced the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving All-CAA teams, with Drexel University earning 15 total selections. Each medal earned by an athlete qualifies them for an All-CAA team selection.
On the women's team, Brittany Corbett led the group with two gold medals in the 500 freestyle and 1650 freestyle events. Federica Nocera earned a silver medal in the 200 backstroke and two bronze medals in the 100 backstroke and 400 freestyle relay. Mari Alencar contributed bronze medals in the 100 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay. Megan Ehrnfeldt added a silver in the 200 butterfly and a bronze in the 400 freestyle relay, while Jessie Rothrock also earned a bronze as part of the 400 freestyle relay team.
The men's team had 10 athletes earn All-CAA honors. Jakub Kwasny led the group with five gold medals in the 400 medley relay, 100 fly, 200 fly, 400 free relay, and 200 free relay, as well as a silver medal in the 200 medley relay.
Sebastian Smith joined Kwasny on the relay teams that earned gold and silver, and he added individual silver medals in the 50 free, 100 fly, and 100 free. Theo Andreopoulos contributed three golds and one silver on the same relay teams, along with a silver in the 100 breast.
Kacper Karnik earned a gold medal in the 200 medley relay, a silver in the 200 breast, and a bronze in the 100 breast. Petar Pavalic won gold in both the 200 and 400 free relays and secured a bronze in the 800 free relay. Alessio Gianni, who was also on the 800 free relay team, added silver medals in the 500 free and 200 fly.
Reds Rullis and Andrea Casini completed the bronze-winning 800 free relay team. Bartosz Loter earned gold in the 400 medley relay, while Kaan Akdag won silver in the 1650 free.
