
Women's Tennis Picks Up the 5-2 Victory over Monmouth on Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA- Drexel women's tennis closed out its home schedule with a 5-2 win over Monmouth. The Dragons improve to 6-9 on the season.
The Dragons celebrated Senior Day prior to the match, honoring Maddie Ricardo and Elisa Rigazio for their contributions to the program.
Drexel took the doubles point with wins at the top two positions. Elisa Rigazio and Sofiya Snitko earned a 6-2 win at the No. 1 spot, while Anastasia Kavounov and Rebecca Fiedler matched that score on court two.
In singles, the Dragons secured four victories to seal the team win. Rigazio didn't drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 1. Snitko followed with a 7-5, 6-0 win at No. 2, and Kavounov posted a 6-3, 6-0 result at the No. 3 spot. Fiedler rallied after dropping a close first set to take the match in a super tiebreak, 6-7 (2), 6-2, 10-5 at No. 4.
The Dragons will wrap up the regular season on the road at Hofstra on April 18th. The match time is set for 12:00pm.
