Dragon of the week: Knight and Varsity V8+

PHILADELPHIA - Owen Knight and Women's Varsity V8+ crew were named Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopedics, for the week of April 14-20.
Knight, a member of the men's lacrosse team, scored two goals in Saturday's 15-14 win over Stony Brook. The freshman's performance helped lift Drexel to victory and clinch a spot in the CAA Tournament. The Radnor, Pa. native was also named CAA Rookie of the Week for his efforts.
Varsity V8+, members of the women's rowing team, won their seventh straight Lela H. Kerr Cup this past weekend. The crew of Lauren Shaw (Coxswain), Emily Ellis (Stroke), Ellen McCallin, Margaret Dobrenko, Hannah Walseth, Taylor Powell, Colette Zidek, Baylor Henry, and Sabrina Batdorf (Bow) finished with a time of 7:42.35—five seconds faster than second-place La Salle.
