Dragon of the Week: Men's Varsity 4+ and Women's Varsity 8+

Varsity 4+, members of the Drexel men's rowing team, captured gold at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta to help clinch the men's team title for a fourth consecutive year. Rowing in the Go Roe shell, the crew of Gustavo Lezama (Coxswain), Liam Strain (Stroke), Filip Milanovic, Gavin Roe, and Jack Brennan (Bow) crossed the line with a time of 6:37.795—two seconds ahead of second-place Washington College. The victory marked one of five podium finishes for the Dragons and helped secure the overall team championship.
Varsity 8+, members of the Drexel women's rowing team, captured gold at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta for the second consecutive season. Rowing in the Jim & Toni Downey shell, the crew of Lauren Shaw (Coxswain), Emily Ellis (Stroke), Ellen McCallin, Margaret Dobrenko, Hannah Walseth, Taylor Powell, Colette Zidek, Baylor Henry, and Sabrina Batdorf (Bow) led the race from the start and edged out Georgetown at the finish line. Drexel clocked a time of 6:38.387, narrowly winning by 0.6 seconds over the Hoyas. The win helped propel the Dragons to the overall team championship for a second straight year as all five boats reached the Grand Final.
