Field Hockey Announces Schedule for 2025 Campaign

PHILADELPHIA — The Drexel field hockey team has released its schedule for the 2025 season. The 18-game slate will feature two teams that reached last year's NCAA Tournament and three that finished inside the final NFHCA rankings. Under 31st-year head coach Denise Zelenak, the Dragons will play nine home games, including five contests against Philadelphia opponents.
The 2025 campaign will begin with a pair of scrimmages at home against Lehigh (Aug. 17), followed by a trip to Rutgers (Aug. 23).
The Dragons regular season kicks off against Central Michigan (Aug. 29) before DU sets off on a three-game road swing. Drexel will visit Lafayette before playing a pair in Bloomington, Ind. to take on Indiana (Sept. 4) and face Louisville in a neutral site matchup (Sept. 6)
Drexel arrives back to Philadelphia for back-to-back home games against Rider (Sept. 12) and city rival Temple (Sept. 16). The Dragons will then make the short trip to University City foe Penn (Sept. 21) Ellen Vagelos C'90 Field.
Conference play begins with Drexel traveling to Hofstra ahead of a three-game homestand against Maine (Sept. 28), Philadelphia rival La Salle (Oct. 3), and 2024 CAA Championship Delaware (Oct. 5).
DU returns to conference action on the road as they travel to Monmouth (Oct. 10). The Dragons will then face last year's NCAA runner-up Saint Joseph's (Oct. 12) away from home
Drexel comes home to face Towson (Oct. 17) before hosting Villanova (Oct. 19) in consecutive games at Buckley Field. DU then hit the road for their final two games away contests, clashing with CAA opponent Northeastern (Oct. 24) followed by a non-conference collision with Wagner (Oct. 26).
The regular season finale concludes as the Dragons welcome William & Mary (Oct. 31).
